Being it is the first item I seek out in any store, be it vintage shop or a mainstream retailer, or department store, it is safe to say that jackets and coats are my favorite pieces to buy. Their ability to transform a simple T shirt and jeans, or a basic black suite and tie look, is unparralel to any other garment. In NYC, every fashionista/o knows, its all about the shoes and of course, coat or jacket! Take a look at a few of my favorite jackets below...you just can never have to many!

Tis The Season to Dress Up!
Holiday season always brings out the "dapper" in me. All those party invites and constant camera, and or Iphone flashes, and most likely being taken under the influence of a little booze! One needs to look their best! So, I opt to dress up while keeping my look a little edgy and off beat! For example, my look below a button down buttoned all the way to the top, with a loose fitting tie. Just a minor detail that can set you apart from the rest! Think about your holiday party look this season and how you can stand out wearing unique pieces, in different ways. Head on over to the store for some fabulous party pieces!

Layers, on layers, on layers.
This season has been pretty amazing! Not only because so many insanely awesome things have happened (the launch of the store being the #1 insanely awesome thing), but also because NYC has been experiencing somewhat of an Indian Summer. It's been getting a bit colder lately, but I've been able to skip out to run errands in just a sweater and oversized scarf, for the most part! I'm loving being able to still wear my leather jacket, and (this goes without saying) all my oversized sweaters and flannels. Mostly, my outfits are a jumble. I layer as much as possible and mix and match a ton of things. For me, this outfit can be considered a "uniform" of sorts. Also, I've been wearing entirely too much (wait...no, there's no such thing as too much) leather. Leather pants is now my middle name.

Item of the Week: Vintage Banana Republic Denim Jacket
This week's item of the week is one of our new items! This vintage Banana Republic denim jacket features a chocolate brown leather collar. One of our favorite "his and hers" pieces, this jacket can be worn by anyone!
Ladies, toughen up a girly look by throwing it over a lace dress and pair with boots. Boys, throw over a flannel and cargo pants, like Dave here, for a comfortable and casual look.

Studs and the Time of Our Lives.
We're apart of Teen Vogue's Blogger Boutique program, (only 5 bloggers were chosen!) and our must-haves were featured in the Bebe 2011 Fall/Winter Catalog. We hosted an event for Teen Vogue/Bebe on FNO in Soho and it was seriously ....awesome.
Anyhow, as a means of that, we were able to take over the store's social networks and tweet live from the Teen Vogue (and Bebe) fashion shows! The last day of it all, I wore an amazing, amazing, amazing Created by Fortune custom studded vest. I was obsessed with the vest then, and I STILL am. It is just the very best when you find an item that you can (and want to) wear, with anything!
Check out my interview with Red Carpet Roxy here>> Red Carpet Roxy FNO
and of course, see a bit of our experience during Fashion Week...............

Graphic T's
I have always had a bit of a fashion fetish for graphic T's! Whether they are in style, or not. However, I do feel there is a right and wrong way to rock a graphic T. Keep your look simple! Let your graphic T-shirt be the focus point of your look. By adding various patterns and colors you will not only creat a busy, or distracting look, your graphic will get lost in the look and probably be less appreciated. Below is a few ways I've worn the graphic Tee on days I still wanted to wear color, and or, pattern!
